How is biochar produced
Our biochar is made from waste wood produced as a byproduct of restoring a Welsh ancient woodland. If this wood was left to rot it would release methane and carbon dioxide both very damaging greenhouse gases. It is processed onsite using a slow pyrolysis retort which unlike a conventional charcoal kiln maximises the yield of biochar whilst minimising any polluting gases.
