What is biochar?
We all worry about climate change. However hard we try to cut down on our carbon footprint it's never enough. We don't all have big enough gardens to plant trees. But with our biochar all you need is a small flower bed or veg patch to off-set some of your carbon AND give the worms and plants a treat.
Biochar is pure carbon and stays there locked in your soil for years.

| And yes trees are cut down and charred in the process. What? We don't want to cut down trees. Ah, but here at Allt Cefn Crug we are restoring an ancient woodland. We are having to cut down trees in order to save others which haven't got enough light. We're leaving the best to grow on, therefore the ones that are cut down are no good for milling, and would otherwise be left to rot on the ground releasing CH4 another greenhouse gas and this is where we come in and catch the carbon. |
